Crazy Weather

Yesterday we had a late snow. There were some of the biggest snowflakes I have ever seen. After a cold, windy, snowy day, today we had a 50 + degree sunny day.


Reed had to have a snowball fight, and all the kids (well, not Will) played outside after dinner.

Abby loves to gather eggs and insist on putting them in the cartons. Reed also had a basket full of eggs. We're getting 18 +/- a day.

REMEMBER: 1 dozen eggs for 8 empty cartons.

Grandkids

While Mandy, Trevor, and Will are out in California, Reed, Emmy, and Abby are spending some time here (Trevor's folks had them until Thursday morning).
It was still warm enough yesterday for them to play outside. Today we're at freezing.

While Reed is at school Emmy, Abby, and I went to Dollar General to get toothbrushes (I forgot to bring them up) and new headbands and lipgloss.

Needed Update

Mandy's playgroup came up for "A Farm". Days before the weather was fantastic, but then snow and cold moved back in; they came anyway. So chickens were heard and seen, feed thrown out, eggs collected, and chickens held.

Inside fun was coloring a chicken page and then taping real chicken feathers (I collected and washed them the night before) to the picture.

Abby and Emmy dressed appropriately, wearing there chick shirts.

Each kid got to take home 4 farm fresh eggs.

Part of coming to Grandma Chibber's is getting pop.

Steve put in a fence that is supposed to keep the chickens out of the yard (and the neighbors' yards), but since he has an 8 foot piece missing it isn't working.
We got a new dog, Bingo is her name. She is very shy/skittish so we have her leashed until she gets used to being here. She is doing great around the chickens - so far.

Steve's mom and dad came to visit (see the great grandkids) and hold Will.

Reed loves to 4-wheel .
