Once again it has been ages (in blog time) since my last update...where does the time go? In my defense, I'm old - I've hurt my right wrist somehow so I'm supposed to be braced and on heavy doses of Ibuprofen, and not using my right hand. But I've had the holidays with pie and roll making, decorating, etc.
So here's the update.
Steve took an old car hood, hooked it up to the
grandkids 4-wheeler and pulled the
grandkids around. Of course it was too cold so he added a huge box with a front window cut-out and a flame paint job. Hillbilly sledding is a hit.

Steve's Christmas dream came through, a big TV and a hand-gun. If he had a Vet it would have been perfect. Trevor and Reed helped Steve put up the TV while I was at the Temple.

All were here for Christmas day. I've got to do something with my bangs, lose weight, and quit talking during picture taking.

Matt and Tom had fun shooting the kids with the toy guns the kids got them.

Will slept through the gifting with the gorilla Uncle Matt gave him.

Tom was up from Texas for two+ weeks so the kids had plenty of play time.

Two Sunday's ago while out with Tom feeding the chickens, Elvis the rooster
attacked Abby, knocking her down and clawing/pecking her. In less then an hour Elvis was beheaded, plucked, and dressed. As Matt said, "This was one of the best Family Home Evenings we've ever had." He then took Elvis home to eat.

New Year's Eve brought the fun of our septic tank backing up into the basement and the garage bathroom. Steve of course was in Jeff City taking care of car title stuff so I called Trevor to help! After Trevor snaked the pipes as far as his rooter went (50 feet) I called a member or the ward who rooted 100 feet. It was still clogged. Luckily I was able to track down a septic company that had a truck in the area and they were able to pump out the "floater tank" that was causing the problem. So I guess you're supposed to have your tanks pumped every five years - we've lived here 6+ and it was empty and ran down so I'm betting the previous owners had gone several years without pumping. New Year's Day had Steve, Tom, and I scrubbing the garage bathroom, moving stuff around the basement, relocating food storage (which we were supposed to have done before finishing the basement, so this just got up started), Steve putting up the first wall in the basement remodel. We did eat our black-eye peas and greens for good-luck in 2009.

Matt is going to OK City on the 14th to start FFA Air Traffic Control training so Reed took his picture.

Emmy had to use the camera and took a picture of Will.

Uncle Matt and his nephews and nieces. Reed, Abby, Will, Emmy. Taken by Mandy with my camera (not near the camera she has).
