Bad Boots.

So Sunday I wore these boots for the first time in a long time. The boots are at least 20 years old, anyway... Besides the fact that I used to wear these with my jeans tucked-in (which of course now I can't due to my freakishly enormous calves) they fit fine. So I came home from church, took off my jewlery, shirt, and skirt (with no problems) and went to remove my boots. I pulled and pulled and nothing. NOT A BUDGE! I thought , "Well, that's strange" and pulled and pulled some more. After 10 minutes of trying to remove them I put on a bathrobe and went downstairs to get Steve to pull them off. I will pause here to let you know I looked quite chic wearing a cheap old-lady front zip mock-velor purple robe and boots. Steve just stared and started to smirk. I told him he needed to pull the boots off that somehow they were stuck. I thought maybe my sweaty feet had formed a vacuum. Anyway he pulled and pulled the left boot and it didn't budge. He tried the right with no success. He wanted to get a knife and cut them off but I declined. Next he claimed he couldn't
get a good grip and went and put on a pair of leather work gloves. Afer twisting and pulling for 10 minutes the left boot came off; after another 10 minutes the right one finally was off. Now all over my hose was yellowy dust except on the feet area where the hose were hardened with a coating of resin. Yes, the boots had glued themselves to me. All I can figure is that the old lining must have a thin foam backing that is breaking down after all these years and turning in to super bonding dust. I'm taking them in to get new lining.

where is the picture of this event? I think it would be cute to see you in the purple velour robe and the boots. this is so funny. the boots are 20 years old? They are very fashoinable now. That just proves if you wait long enough your things will come back in style.
