Step One

Step one of the rooster kill is completed. As of 9:02pm the 5 roosters slated for death tomorrow were in the holding pens in the shop. It was very calm; we waited until all were roosting, turned on the red light in the coop, and removed one rooster at a time. Only the last one made a little noise - and it wasn't much. Tomorrow....the ax.
