Babs the BarredRock died this morning. She was in the roost this morning (where I put her at 5:00 last night). I put her out and as you can see she just sat there listliss. So on to the treatment.
I had the bathtub with nice warm water, baby oil, and epson salts.

She would just sit in the water, not moving. I then gave her an exam. I felt what might have been an egg way up high, but nothing was moving. So I gave her an enema; water, dish soap, baby oil, epson salt. She just sat there during all this and made just a little cooing.
After the bath as I was lifting her out she started to flap her wings, something she hasn't done in days. Alas, it was her last hurah. She layed in the towel for a minute then closed her eyes and went to that great chicken farm above.
On the plus side. My bathtub which I hadn't cleaned in I don't know how long, got a good scrubbing today.
