Coop Living

Our internet was down last night so I couldn't update on what was happening. We finished (or nearly, some outside calking needs done, and painting) the coop and had it set up for the move on Saturday morning. Its too good for most chicks, but not ours.

This is looking in through the screen door. Reinforced with wire.

A view looking in. You step in the coop and enter the foyer. Then you go through the screen door to be with the chicks.

Laying boxes (three more are on the other side of the door) and watering can. A closed window is on the one wall.

Roost for sleeping when the chicks get bigger. Under the roost is a "safe house" for the smaller chicks. They can get under the wire and get away from the turkey and big chicks if they want. Later we'll take off the screen and move the unit into the yard for sun shelter.
