I went out this morning to feed the chicks and one more was dead. It was the small one I was concerned about yesterday. Strangely, it is the same type of chick that was dead last night. Now I have concerns that chick gangs are being formed and they are 'taking care' of certain types of chicks. There is one left of that type of chick, so we'll see how it fairs. I need chick cam running 24/7 so I can monitor what is going on in the coop.
The end result: 15 original chicks, 1 turkey, 4 Orscheln's, 4 Robin's, 3 new Orscheln - 27 total.
Good news: the greenbeans and beets are up and the iris' are blooming. Bad news: rabbits have been munching on my cucumber and tomato plants. I've got to get a fence around the garden.
