Not a good day for chicks.

The turkey chick just wasn't doing well. I think the bump was smaller, but he had lost knowing how to walk and the other chicks were using him as a rug. So Steve "the exterminator" took care of things. Also another original chick is dead. The was due to a freak accident; while I was cleaning the pen and adjusting the heat lamp my box of wipes fell into the pen and landed on a small white chick. This was yesterday and the chick rebounded so I thought it would be OK. Even this morning all of them looked good, but when we got home from partying at a missionary farewell, the chick was dead. So the count is 18 original chicks, 4 Orscheln chicks, 1 turkey. At least the 25 left are very happy chicks.
